In the second part of this term, we split the junior syndicate into 5 whanau groups and we each completed an art activity related to the upcoming matariki celebrations which were held on 2 July. These sessions were an opportunity to work with students of all ages and foster tuakana, teina relationships.

Sports Events in Term 2
Rippa and hockey were the two major sports in this term. They involved all the students (rippa) and most of the students (hockey). We also had to organise the entering and transportation of our teams which was quite an undertaking in the case of the rippa tournament where 80 students (10 teams) were taking part.
